All competitors should meet in the main street of Lennox Head NSW at the IGA no later than 7am Saturday the 9th of June 2012 to find out the event location & any possible changes to the format. The event will run on the day/s with best conditions in the 3 day event window.
The location for the competition will be written on a board at the entrance to the IGA.Competitors may buy a Northern Star newspaper which is available from the Lennox Head Newsagency. The Northern Star newspaper is a major sponsor of the event and publishes lots of photo’s and articles on the ‘All Girls Surf Showdown’ over the whole event.
The event is usually held at Lennox beach opposite the Lennox Point Hotel (please note parking restrictions) but it can be mobile so turn up each morning to the Newsagency for the event location. The other possible location is North Wall which is about 10 minutes drive South from Lennox Head.
If the event is setting up at Lennox please do not park there as this will slow up the starting of the competition, if your car is parked there you will be asked to remove it immediately.
The heat draw will be posted on the heat board at the competition site first thing every morning. Any heats not completed will run first up the next day.
All heats are 20 minutes duration.
*NOTE: BANK 1 & BANK 2 heats are run at the same time.
Heat draw & running order -
The heat draw & running order will be available on the website a couple of days before the event starts. Please note that all competitors should turn up on the first day at 7am as the contest directors do have the option to change the format if the surf conditions alter dramatically to what is expected.
The heat draw & running order will be posted at the event site at the start of each day’s competition. Organisers are not responsible for competitors who turn up late for their heat. Competitors should be there first thing each morning to check for any changes and also allow plenty of time to arrive at the event site before their heat.
All Girls Surf Showdown competition info -
When your heat is called up, go to the Heat Check In and the Beach Marshals will hand you a coloured contest rashie and check your name off the heat list.
When you come in from the heat please go directly to the beach marshals and return your rashie.
You receive a competitor’s pack which includes a competition T-shirt when you return your contest rashie to the Heat Check In area after your first heat.
All heats and finals are of 20 minute duration and your best two rides are counted in your total score.
You can paddle out on the yellow flag from the sign posted area on the beach for your bank. Heats start from the water in an area designated for each bank due to the double bank format, the beach marshals will tell you where that is when you check in.
Please position yourself in your bank zone and wait for the other heat to finish.
When the green flag is raised & siren blasts your heat has started.
Make sure you know which bank you are surfing and do not cross over to the wrong one. STAY ON YOUR BANK. If you surf outside your bank you risk the judges missing your ride.
When the red flag is raised and the siren blasts your heat is finished please paddle in immediately and stay lying down.
Please free surf outside the competition area which is marked by beach flags and marker buoy’s mark the competition area. If while free surfing you go anywhere near the surfers competing in a heat you risk being disqualified.

No parking or stopping is allowed on Pacific Parade directly opposite to the event site, please park down a side street. Please obey parking signs and respect private property.
Children should not be on the streets late at night without parental supervision.
Children should not be in licensed premises without the immediate presence of a responsible adult. Please put rubbish in bin or take home.
